New Puppy Buyers Information
Important information for those planning to buy an Australian Cattle Dog puppy
A dog is for life, so ensure the entire family agrees before getting one.
While many Australian Cattle Dog breeders are present in Australia, few assess for every genetic problem, DNA profiles/parentage, hearing (BAER), hips, elbows, DISH scores, and offer a lifetime health guarantee on genetic issues.
TEAM KOMBINALONG is your best bet for a dog that is healthy, happy, well-tempered, fully health tested and well socialized
There are certain state government regulations that the breeder must adhere to.
The puppy cannot leave the breeder until it is 8 weeks old
The puppy MUST be vaccinated and health checked by a qualified veterinary surgeon.
The puppy MUST be wormed regularly from 2 weeks of age
The puppy MUST be micro-chipped with the state government regulatory body.
The breeder MUST provide the buyer with a Puppy Guarantee, and the new owner MUST read it, understand it and sign it and the breeder provides a signed copy of this to the new owner.
The breeder MUST provide a vaccination certificate and note to the new owner the date of the second vaccination.
The new owner MUST sign the checklist ensuring that the puppy they are taking home is happy and healthy and the correct puppy as per the microchip details.
The sire's presence at the viewing of the puppy is not guaranteed; breeders may use dogs not owned/residing with them. Don't be offended if we tell you that seeing the sire isn't possible, but normally, the website www.kombinalongacds.com has sire photos to view.
The following details must be given before viewing puppies, as puppy theft is on the rise in Australia. Provide your full name, address, phone number, and driver's license copy. This isn't personal; it's a required measure for the well-being of Team Kombinalong puppies and adult dogs.
All necessary certificates for the new puppy will be included in the puppy pack, and all relevant paperwork, including the vaccination certificate, will be photocopied, reviewed, and signed by the new owners before the puppy leaves our facility. While this process may seem excessive, it is essential to protect the integrity of our breeding program and the reputation of Team Kombinalong. Unfortunately, there are individuals who may attempt to undermine breeders by falsifying documents after acquiring a puppy, making these precautions vital for our future.
All of our breeding stock undergoes comprehensive health checks; however, we cannot guarantee that your puppy will be free from any issues, as no breeder can make such assurances. Nonetheless, we provide lifetime support for all members of Team Kombinalong.
